Top 10 Favourite Christmas Songs

Hey guys, so today I'm doing a collab with the lovely Robyn from The Hat Hippie! You should go and check out her blog, because it's fab, and she's cool! We decided that we were both going to do our top 10 favourite Christmas songs, for you guys, so that you can get to know us better and also so that we can compare our music tastes! We're meant to write a few lines about why we like it, but as you will see, I didn't write much because it's very hard explaining why you love a song so much, without going into nerdy musical terms such as ornamentation, riffs and dynamics.
So lets get on with it!

Top Ten Teen Blogs

Heey guys today I thought I would share with you some of the blogs that I read, that are all written by teenagers!

I feel like sometimes people will shun teenage blogs, as they think that teen bloggers aren't as experienced, mature or literate, but hopefully by seeing these blogs, people will see how great teen blogs are!

(These blogs aren't in any particular order)

The first shoes I'm going to show you are my black heels from Deichmann. I really wanted some shoes like these for a while, but I couldn't find ones which were as simple as these (I'm hard to please when it comes to shoes).

How to: Add Widgets

Heey guys, so as I'm relatively new to blogging, adding widgets was one of the layout bits that I found rather difficult! For this reason, I thought I'd show you all the sites where I learnt how to get widgets on my blog (Instead of creating instructions, as they do it perfectly).

Throwback Thursday: Disneyland Paris

Heey guys, this is the first time, and hopefully not the last time, that I will be doing a Throwback Thursday!! I have to admit that while most people crave, food, exercise and other things... I am craving another Disneyland weekend.

Day 1

We spent the whole day travelling from my college in England, to Disneyland, which meant 14 hours stuck on the coach. What made it worse was that my friend had saved us the back row, as my friendship group is a three, which makes it very awkward for travelling. So they sat on the two seats to the left, I sat in the middle and these two guys sat to the right of me, which wouldn't have been a problem, unless my two friends fell asleep on my, pushing me onto them, while I had to listen to their ridiculously boring conversation about cars and how the French countryside doesn't look any different from the English countryside.

My friends were asleep for the whole 14 hours.

On the plus side, when we got to the hotel, we all ate donuts, which I had brought from my work.

Day 2

We had a full day of exploring Disneyland today!! I think this is my favorite photo from the trip.

First of all we went into the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which was so cute, and I love the stained glass windows, especially this one of Princess Aurora/Sleeping Beauty.

We spent the whole day going around the main Disneyland park, we went on all the roller coasters - apart from Space Mountain as it was closed for repairs, and also the Indiana Jones ride, as we didn't have time.

Being in the tree house in Adventureland, makes me want one even more... Yes... I'm 17... It's been a lifelong goal!!

I would love to tell you that this was the view from my accommodation for the weekend, but alas, it was not. This is the view from the window of the the presidential suite in the 5* hotel. I love how you can so clearly see the Cinderella Castle and the whole of Main Street. Quite a lot of famous people have stayed in this room including Micheal Jackson, which is quite cool.

How cute is this wardrobe from the presidential suite?! The camera quality is quite bad, but the whole rooms was themed with the princesses, and the ceiling was amazing.

I don't know if you can see, but there are fairy godmothers on the ceiling (that's the pink blob), and it's in a dome shape, much like the large gift shop in the Disney Village. There's also clouds painted onto it, but my  Imagine going to sleep under this.

Day 3

We did a bit more on the third day, as we had two lectures in the morning, one was about marketing and the other one I can't remember!! We then decided to spend the day in the Hollywood Studios. This is when I went on my first upside down roller coaster ever!! The first one I went on had to have been the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, which is pitch black inside, which I am kind of thankful for, as I couldn't see the track when I was going around.

We also went on the Tower of Terror.. Does what it says on the tin, and also the RC Racer, along with the other less scary rides, such as Aladdin and Slinky.

We then went to the main Disney park and had lunch, as well as going on the Indiana Jones ride, which also had a visible loop, which scared me more than the one in the dark surprisingly.

I love love love the Moroccan influenced section of Disneyland, which is just on the entrance to Adventureland.

We went shopping at the end of this day, which is when I brought this bowl, which features in my favorites post from way back in May. I also brought a glass, which had a similar design on it, but in teal, and also 3 shot glasses in red, with Minnie Mouse on them. These all came to under €20, which I thought was really reasonable, considering they could have charged a lot more.

Day 4

On the last day we headed home at 11am, which meant that we got back at 9pm in the UK.

I hoped you enjoy this post, it's something a little bit different to what I normally do, but I really enjoyed recapping on all my memories from the trip.

See you soon...

17th Birthday Photo Blog

Heey guys, so as you are probably aware, from my previous blog posts, it was my 17th birthday recently! For my birthday I decided that I would have two get togethers, one for my family and one for my friends. I decided that I would do standard girl things for the part with my friends, such as shopping, a sleepover and lots of food... of course!! But for my family get together I wanted something more to mine and their tastes. I decided to have a garden party.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the day, as it captures everything that I love; flowers, bunting and the sun.

I love the floral bunting that was put up (my mum decorated everything as a surprise while I was at work). She actually took the bunting out of my bedroom, instead of buying more, which made it more special as it is a possession of mine, not just a decoration.

It's not a party without pasta...

Who doesn't love a bit of patriotic bunting?!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you have any ideas of what I could do for my birthday next year (I'm always planning) or what you did for your most recent birthdays, then post it down in the comments!!

See you soon...

Lyme Regis Photo Blog

Lyme Regis is one of my favorite seaside locations, so I decided that I wanted to spend a day there for my 17th birthday.

So the day started a bit cloudy, so I spend a while camped out in the beach tent, which has it's own really hot micro climate, so it felt like I was in Spain in there.

We always sit on Monmouth Beach, which is just around the corner from the main beach at Lyme Regis, because we had the dog with us. Unfortunately it is stony, but luckily this makes it very quiet, even at peak times.

Shout out to this guy.

We then walked along the seafront and up into the town, to fulfill our retail therapy desire.

We found a few hidden gems on this visit and although we've been to Lyme Regis many times, we have never discovered this little alley way with about 5/6 shops in it. There was a fossil shop (the one with the T-rex on the roof) a ice cream parlor and a pizzeria.

We also found this really cute bookshop, which looked tiny from the outside, but was a maze of old books, magazines and annuals.

I could have stayed in here for hours.

I went back to the beach and starting reading 'The Book of Tomorrow', which I had just brought from a charity shop in the town.

It was then quite late in the day, so we decided to go home. Just as we got into the car it decided to chuck it down with rain, although only for a few minutes. After this we got a Chinese takeaway on the route back.

I hope you guys enjoyed this style of blog post, if you want me to do more photo blogs then leave a comment, oh and also if you want to see a book review of 'The Book Of Tomorrow' by Cecelia Ahern then let me know:)

See you soon...

18 Things To Do Before I Turn 18

Hey guys, so I'm 17 this week! I have recently been thinking about how I haven't really done much for the past year, apart from studying and working, so I decided to make a list of 18 things to do before I turn 18, next year.

(In no particular order)

1. Start swimming more frequently - Pretty much says it all
2. Re-learn how to play the violin - This has been on my life bucket list for about 3 years...
3. Get into yoga - I seem to be the only person who hasn't really tried it for the intention of it doing my body some good. I only attempted it in PE at school so that I could make my friends laugh while doing tree poses and downward dog
4. Make a new friend
5. Go surfing - I have never been surfing before... Shock horror... However so many of my friends say it's good fun, so I am willing to attempt it...
6. Volunteer somewhere
7. Get over my fear of horses and learn to horse ride - For me personally this is a completely irrational fear, as I have never had any negative experiences with horses, I just don't like them.
8. Finish knitting my scarf - I started it in 2013...
9. Get my nails done in a salon - Another one I've never done!
10. Write a letter to my future self
11. Go to the beach with my friends - I've always wanted to do this, but never got round to it with my old set of friends, so hopefully with my new ones, I can
12. Do something out of my comfort zone - This is pretty much everything, so it'll be very easy... I've got to have something to tick off!!
13. Go to a large craft fair - I've been to lots of smaller craft fairs, but none have really inspired me to do anything, so hopefully a large craft fair will spark a little bit of imagination.

Blog/Instagram related

14. Find blogs/bloggers who have similar interests to me
15. Vlog for a day - I've seen so many videos of the combination of activities from people's years that I really want to create something that one day I can watch back and see what fun I had, when I was young
16. Create a logo/header for my blog - as just the title is very boring
17. Gain 10 blog followers - I always feel as if no one is reading my blogs, even though I can see the viewing figures, I think that even 2 more followers will help me feel less like I'm talking to myself, and more like somebody is actually listening
18. Gain 400 Instagram followers - who are actually interested in my account, not just follow for a follow or spam accounts

I have also decided that when I turn 18, I will write another blog post, saying what I have managed to do off of the list, and what parts I have failed at. I will also take pictures of the things that I can do, so that you (and I) can see what I have done.

See you soon...

Top 10 Places I'd Like to Visit

Hey guys, so today I thought I'd share with you the top 10 places I'd like to visit in the world. It was so hard trying to think of only a few places, as I really want to travel to every country, but here are my top 10 places...

10. London, England

London being on my list will probably surprise most people as I am from England, and I have been to London three times now, which may not seem like a lot, but is more than most of my friends, who have never been before. I really want to have the traditional tourist experience and do things such as go on the London Eye, visit Buckingham Palace and take a stroll around Hyde Park, as I've never had to opportunity to before. I would also like to watch another musical in one of the West End theatres. I have been to see 3 musicals in London (one for each visit) and there is always such a good atmosphere in the theaters and the performers and story lines are just amazing.

9. Dubai, United Arab Emirates

I really want to visit Dubai, because is it such an amazing city. I would love to be able to see the Burj Kalifa and the Burj al Arab up close, as they have become such iconic landmarks in the modern world. I also really want to visit the beaches there as the sand is pure white and it just leads straight from the beach to the skyscrapers and shopping malls, which are some of the largest in the world.

8. Whitsundays, Australia

Whitsundays, in my eyes, is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I would really want to do water sports there such as kayaking and sailing, as I feel like the water is such a big part of this area of Australia, so it would be a shame not to make the most of it. I would also like to visit the Great Barrier Reef while I am there, so that I would be able to see some of the sea life that I have only seen in aquariums, in the wild.

7. New York, America

Who doesn't want to go to New York?! With Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Times Square, there is so much to do in New York, not to mention all the shopping that I would fit in!

6. Mombasa, Kenya

I would love to go to Mombasa, for many reasons. Firstly there are the most beautiful beaches there, with the white sand and blue sea, I would just spend the whole time at the beach. I also would really like to visit Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary, as Elephants are becoming more of an interest to me, due to their almost human nature. I also would like to visit the Mombasa Marine National Park and Reserve as I really love marine life and sea creatures and I feel like this is a much better way to experience the sea life that Kenya has to offer, rather than in an Aquarium.

5. Norway

I have a slightly small obsession with the Norwegian coastline, and the country in general, which all sparked from a secondary school project many years ago. I would love to, one day, cruise around all of the Fjords in Norway. A few of my friends have already been on this cruise, and quite frankly, I'm really jealous of them!! I would also like to visit the capital, Oslo, as there is just such a different culture there and I think it would be a really interesting place to explore

4. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Another place that I would really like to visit is Amsterdam. I love the history of the city and the canals that run through the center. I would really like to visit the Anne Frank Museum, as I find her story really fascinating, and I can't quite comprehend how anyone can live so quietly and in a confined space for so long. I would also like to visit Vondelpark and do a Windmill Tour to experience the Netherlands countryside. As well as this I would also like to explore the vast network of canals that Amsterdam has to offer and visit some of the cafes that are along the main canals.

3. South Africa

Now this is a bit of a wide area, as the things which I would want to do and see there are dotted around all over the country, which means that I'd ideally like to tour around. I really want to go to the Cape of Good Hope, as I think that the scenery is just amazing, and I would also like to visit Kruger National Park, and go on a safari, as I have never seen the big five in the wild before.

2. Antibes, France

I've been to France three times before, but on these trips we mainly stayed around Paris, and in the North, so never went as far down as Antibes (which is in the South-East). I love all the culture and history which surrounds the place, and the architecture of the buildings. I also want to visit the beaches there as the water is really blue, compared to England!!

1. Venice, Italy

I have been really wanting to go to Venice for some time now, because I would really like to see all the canals that are there, plus I would like to go on a gondola. I love the buildings that are in Italy and I really like the bridges that go over the canals, as they just look so pretty and it is like a scene from a dream.

I hope you liked my list of places I would like to visit, if you have any recommendations of where I should visit, or where you've always wanted to visit, I would love to hear them!!

See you soon...
